- My invention relates vto improvements in door ventilating mechanlsms. It relates particularly to structures in which a door is provided with a ventilating o ening therethr'ough, and having a closure inged thereto'for closing the opening.
One of the objects of myinventlon is to provide novel mechanism by which the door character which are already built or in use.

To effect such closing of theclo'sure with the opening movement of the door, I pro vide means which connects the door with the frame and with the closure, and which, prefe'rably comprises the following described parts.
A member 9, which may be a nut, is oscillatably mounted on a vertical axis in a recess 10 in the upper edge of the door 1. When the door is closed, the closure 5 may be swung to and from the open position, without the movement of the screw 15 being interfered with by the stop screw 20, as in closing the closure, when the door is closed, the screw 15 draws away from the stop screw 20, and only contacts therewith when the closure is open.
By adjustment of the screw 20, the open ing movement of the closure 5 may be varied I do not limit my invention tothe structure shown anddescribed, as many modifications, within the scope of the appended claims, may be: made without departing from the spirit of invention.
What I claim is 1. In a door ventilating mechanism, the' combination with a door frame, a door hinged thereto. having a ventllating' opening therethrough, and a closure for said opening movable on said door to and from a closed position, of means connecting the doorwith the frame and closure and, actuated by the door in opening for moving the closure toward the closed position, in case the closure is in theopen position.
2. combination with a door frame, a door hinged thereto having a ventilating opening therethrough, and a closure for said opening, of a member oscillatableon said door and having an arm, a link pivoted to said arm and to said frame, two linkspivoted to each other, one being pivoted to said closure and the other having pivoted and threaded engagement with said' oscillatable member, and stop means for. limiting the relative turning movement between said threaded link and oscillatable member, whereby the door in opening will move the closure toward the closed position, if the closureisin' the open position.
