IMPROVEMENT IN SPRING BED-BOTTOMS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N o. 170,040,
dated November 16,1875; application filed March 24, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ABNER YOUNGS, of Mishawaka, county of St. Joseph and State of Indiana, have in vented certain Improvements in Spring Bed-Bottoms, and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which, together with the letters and figures marked thereon, forms part of this specification, in which- Figure l is a plan or top View of a spring bedbottom according to my invention. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
Like letters of reference made use of in both gures indicate like parts.
To enable those skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe it, making reference in so doing to the aforesaid drawing. l
A is the main frame. B B are the end rails,
- -which are provided with recesses, rectangular in form, cut in the lower and inner edges of said end rails, in which the hooks a a have their bearings, in such a manner that they will rock on their beari 0fs, and accommodate themv selves to the differe 1t positions of the fabric when under weight or at rest. The hooks a a are attached to the main frame A by means of bolts, which pass through each corner.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
