IMPROVEMENT IN WIRE STOVE-BRACKETS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N o. 1 69,1 1 8, dated October 26, 1875 application filed .February 23, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, JOHN H. RANDALL and DEXTER F. NEWTON, both of Glyde, county of Sandusky and State of Ohio, have invented an Improved Fastening Device for Wire Stove- 1 which is so arranged as to catch into any one of the corrugationsm of the band K. The
Bracket.
The following description, taken in connection with the accompanying plate of drawings hereinafter referred to, forms a full and exact specification, wherein are-set forth the nature and principles of the invention, by which the same may be distinguished fromothers of a similar class, together with such parts thereof as are claimed as new, and are desired to be secured byLetters Patent of the United States.
Our invention relates to fastening devices for wire stove-brackets; and the nature thereof consists in certain improvements in the construction of the same, hereinafter described.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 is a side elevation of a wire stove-bracket having our invention applied thereto. Fig. 2 is a plan of the fastening device.
In said drawings, ,K designates a metallic band, provided with a series of corrugations, m, and a triangular loop, a. B designates wires, forming a part of the bracket, which are bent in such a manner as to form curvilinear projections, which may be sprung or adjusted to fit accurately about the stove-pipe. L designates a band, provided with a link, 0,
bands K and L having been secured'to the bracket, the pointed I end of the band K is passed through the loop 0, and the bracket is secured to the pipe by causing the loop 0 to catch in one of the corrugations m.
We claim- In combination with a wire stove-pipe bracket, the fastening device consisting of the band L, provided with a square link, 0, and the corrugated band-K, provided with a triangular loop, a, as and for the purposes described.
