This invention relates to. swings, and the principal object of the invention is to provide a swing wherein the seat is hingedly connected atone end to an'u right member and the handle portion pivota 1y connected there to, so that the person while swinging, can

This link 15 is preferably made of strongsheet metal having an annular looped portion. The ends of the metal m 1? meet together at the lower side and protrude outwardly therefrom. At approximately one-third the distance around the link 15, an opening 20 is cut in the metal and on'each side of this opening 20, as at 21, the metal is bent outwardly, 10 while the portion "next the outer edge is bent inwardly, as at 23. The pin 22 is seated across the link 15 and is held between the outwardly bent portions 21 and the inwardly bent portions 23. A hearing 24 is mounted on the pin 22. Fig. 4 shows the spaced position of these bearings 24 relative to the cross bar 16, which bearings 24 roll on the cross bar 16 when the swim is in motion. 25 in- 89 longitudinal movementon the cross bar 16, which collars are fixedly positioned thereto Referring to Fig. 2' showing the modified form, the construction is practically the same. as in Fig. 1 with the exception that the foot board 6 is held to the lower end of the upright 8 by the rod'27, which extends-longitudinally through the'u'pright-8. The lower end'of'the rod 27 is squared to fit into the square openin 28 in the foot board 6 and the nut is suita ly threaded on to thethreaded end 29 of this rod 27. The handle'10 is in a like manner attached to the upper end. By having the rod 27 extended longitudi-' nally through the upright 8, the handle 10 and the foot board 6 are secured-tdgether to turn in unison.

With a person on the seat 5, the swing ing motion may be started and greatly increased by.operation of the handle 10 and the foot board 6. When the desired swing is ob tained .the handle 10, or the handle .10 and the foot board 6, may be turned in either direction, which turn will cause a Wigglywabbly motionto the swing and will cause considerable excitement and amusement.

The foregoing specification and annexed drawings disclose the referred embodiment nected to said bifurcated end; a foot boardmounted on the lower end of said upright; a

handle pivotally mounted at the upper end of said upright; a flexible connection extending through each end of said handle and having their lower" ends respectively connected to the ends of said foot board and a flexible connection having its lower end .connected to the rear end of said seat.

2. A swing, comprising a seat, having a narrowed forward end; said forward end o'mee'e being-bifurcated; hn upright pivotall-y connected to said bifurcated end; a foot board mounted on the lower end of said upright;

rear end of said seat and a means interconnecting between said handle and Said foot board, so that said handle and said foot board may be turned in unison relative to said upright.
