Figure 2 is a plan view of the blank from which the book mark is formed.

Figure 3 is a plan view showing one of the sections folded on the other.

Figure 4 is a plan View similar to Figure 3 with the gummed tab folded down in the completed form.

Figure 5 is a similar view to Figure at showing the opposite side.

In the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, and in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the several views thereof, 1 designates the line of fold between the two approximately triangular sections 2 and 3. The said sections 2 and 3 are each cut off at one corner, as at 4 and 5, respectively, so that when the said sections are folded together the projecting lips 6 and 7 will be formed on the said sections 2 and 3, respectively. One edge of the section 3 is slightly curved, or cut away, at 10 so that when the sections are folded together and the gummed tab 8 folded over there will be no part of the section 3 under the tab 8 at the line of fold 9, thereby preventing any buckling of sections 2 and 3 and permitting them to fit closely together after the tab 8 is sealed in position. The said gummed tab 8 projects from the section 2 and is folded on the line 9. The folded book mark is approximately triangular in shape when completed and by reason of the relation of the sections 2 and 3 present two pro ecting lips 6 and 7 as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5,;so that in applying the book mark one of the lips is slipped under the leaf or leaves of the book and the book mark slipped down to fit the corner of page or pages. I

The book mark in the completed form presents an inclosure to receive a corner of a book leaf. This inclosure being substantially triangular in form has two projecting lips, one at each corner next the opening oside,'which serves the purpose of guiding the corner of leaf of the book into the inclosed portion, which latter when in place snugly fits the corner of the leaf. The mark which is presented would not in any way interfere'with the opening or closingof the book and would not project beyond the edges of the binding and would therefore form no interference to placing the book in a book case or rack.

The blank is adapted to carry advertising material and may be used as a souvenir if desired. I

Having thus described my invention what I claim is:

1. A book mark blank formed of two sections each of which is provided with a projecting lip at one corner thereof, one of said sections having a projecting gummed tab to engage the other section when folded to hold the book mark in the completed form, and the other section being cut away on the edge that lies under the gummed tab when folded.

2. A book mark formed of suitable material folded to form an approximately triangular pocket, each fold of which is provided with a projecting lip atone corner of the opening of the pocket, the projecting .lip of one fold being at the opposite corner from that of the other fold.
