' This invention relates to a splash proof cabinet, in which one or more water streams are discharged in all directions, under pres:
sure and so constructed that there can be no leakage from the interior, to the exterior.
To this end the top,'in its preferred conei structlon, comprises an open frame, su'rrounding and contacting the outer surfacesof the vertical walls above and below their 'top'edges, and a pan-shaped panel, within the inner surface of the walls, having an outwardly extending rim overlying the top edges of the walls and secured to the frame; the pan and frame forming groove like recesses in which the top edges of the vertical walls are entered. Splash strips of angle metal are secured to the inner surfaces of the vertical walls and cover the joints formed by the vertical walls and cabinet top and vents are formed through the panel for the escape of the vapor from, and for creating a draught through, the cabinet, this draught accelerating the drying. of the cabinet contents. As the direction of the streams is changed from time to time by the revoluble adjustment of the pipes, it is necessary to provide for the inspection of the interior and for this purpose the cabinet is constructed with a transparent section and provided with the/illuminating 1 mp. 1. In a dishwashing machine a cabinet having vertical side, back and front walls 'and a bottom,'and an openingin the front wall closed by a sliding door, a cabinet top comprising an open frame surroundingthe upper ends of the side, back and front walls and extending above and below the top edges thereof, a pan shaped panel connected to the frame, overlying the'frame above said walls and extending below their top edges and converging within the cabinet to providev grooves in which the upper ends ofthe walls are entered, and splash stripssecured to the inner surfaces of the walls immedlately.
