NURSING ATTACHMENT FUR BOTTLE-'5.
Application filed Jane 10, 1926. ticrial No. 115,108.
The present invention relates to nursing on the neck 11 and applicable toruse as a attachments for bottles and has :lor its prime drinking cup. I object to provide an attachn'lent designed to The primary feature of our present invenadapt bottles, such as vacuum bottles, for use t-1on is the formation of an attachment in 5 as a nursing bottle. l the form of a cap ring 12, the preferred form A further object or the invention is the of which is illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. provision of an attachment termed so as to This ring is preferably constructed of glass 60 be conveniently mounted in association with 01' aluminum, or other suit: ble material and a vacuum bottle or thelike and adapted to is generally cylindrical in configuration.

Thus, it bottle of conventional construction, provided is Clearly apparent that the present type of 50 at its upper end with a screw threaded neck attachment is in the form of a reducer fit- 11. This type of bottle is usually enclosed by ting. An exterior peripheral head 21 is a detachable cap screw-threaded at its lower formed about the upper edge of the neck 20 end for engagement with the threads formed and a similar head 22 of reduced cross sectional area is formed at the lower edge. These annular beadswlll rewenforce the cap ring structure so as to increase the durability thereof and the upper head will additionally serve to maintain a nursing nipple 23 in proper position on the cap ring. This form of nursing attachment Will facilitate the use and attachment of the common small type of nursing nipple upon the vacuum bottle of ordinary construction.
The forms of nursing attachments form.- ing the subject matter of the foregoing description present means whereby a conrentional type of vacuum bottle may be quickly adapted for use as a nursing bottle so as to permit suitable attachmentthereon of a nursing nipple. This invention will obviate the necessity of transfer ing the milk fronr thevacuumibottle to a special nusing bottle and avoidall necessary exposure of the milk. Furthermore it will be noted that the vacuum bottle need not be permanently employed for this particular application and may retain its original function of a container for ordinary liquids.
It is to be understood that the form of our invention herewith shown and described is to be taken as the preferred example of the same, and that various changes as to the shape and size thereof may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the subjoined claim.
Having thus described our invention, we claim The combination with a vacuum bottle having a screw threaded neck, of a nursing: nipple attaching device, comprising a relatively short cylindrical body open at each end, screw threads formed at and in one end of the body engageable with the threaded neck of the bottle, and a peripheral bead formed about the other end of the body upon the outer face of the wall thereof, adapted to have the lip of a nipple engaged thereover.
In testimony whereof we ailix our signatures.
