A suitable conduit 23 connects the inlet throughthe arm of the hub into the electric lamp'socket- 25, having electric lamps 2T, secured thereto. rthe size and number of the electric lamps to be placed within the seoondarjv sign units will depend upon the size of the same. The eirouit is completed bv passing the same through the conductor 24, and the terminal pin 25, into the bearing support 23. The bearing support 23 is mounted upon a suitable journal pin 28, disposed within the outer ends of the arms of the spider` the same being in threaded relation with the arm and the :fame may be further held in working relation therewith through the action of the thumb wing nut 29, and the set screw 31. The secondary rotatable sign members are made of side and end walls adapted to be suspended between the spider arms and to be illuminated through the medium of the electric lamps hereinabove referred to and since the .Came are journaled above the center of gravit;v and are held in free turning relationship with the pin supports they will be maintained in an upright position. The ends ma57 be slotted as shown at 32, and 33, to permit the insertion of stenciled plates 3ft therein and which may be easilj7 removed and ones carrying a different design or notice be mounted therein. The electric current circuit is completed by the same passing out through the collector ring 38 mounted upon the insulated bushing 37, between the ring and the supporting shaft and thence to' the outlet 39, which acts as a ground for the circuit by being connected to a ground source.
lVhile the form of mechanisln herein shown and described is admirably adapted to fulfill the objects primarilf,7 stated, it is to be understood that it is not intended to confine the invention to the one form of embodiment herein shown and described, as it is susceptible of embodinient in various forms` all coming within the scope of the claims which follow:
lVhat I claim is: n
1. A moving display sign, comprisingr a bottomless case structure having parallel inner and outervside walls; a longitudinal shaft rotatably mounted in said case structure, hubs, having oppositel)7 positioned arms, mounted on said shaft, sign members pivotally mounted on said oppositely positioned arms, said sign members during the rotation of said shaft, passing in and out said case structure, through the bottom thereof; said sign members haring parallel illuminable side walls, and electric circuit means to illuminate said sign members.
2. A moving display sign, comprisingr a bottomless case structure having parallel inner and outer side walls, a longitudinal shaft rotatably mounted in said case structure; hubs, haring oppositely positioned arms.l mounted on said shaft, journal piu l'iearing supports threaded through the outer ends of said arms and parallel to said shaft; sign members mounted at the outer ends of said oppositeljv disposed arms, said sign members having illuminablc side walls, bearing supports mounted at the outer ends of said sign members. adjacent the tops thereof. and engaging with said ljournal pin bearings, said sign members during the rotation of said. shaft. passing in and out said case structure, through the bottom thereof; electric lamps mounted in said sign members, and there being means to conduct an electric circuit through said arms and within said sign members to illuminate said electric lamps.
3. A moving display sign, comprising a bottomless case structure having parallel inner and outer side walls, bracket supports secured to the top of said case, a longitudinal shaft rotatablj7 mounted in said case structure, there being a prime mover in said case to rotate said shaft, hubs having out# wardly disposed arms mounted on said shaft, the arms of one hub being positioned opposite the arms of the other hub:l journal pin bearing supports threaded through the outer ends of said arms and parallel to said shaft sign members, comprising, top, bottom, sides, and end members, mounted to the outer ends of said oppositely disposed arms, said sign members duringr the rotation of said shaft, passing in and ont. said case structure. through the bottom thereof; said sign members having illuminable side walls, there being slots provided in the ends'ot -said sign members for the insertion and removal of sign plates; bearing supports!mounted at the outer ends of said sign members and adjacent the tops thereof: said bearilncr supports to engage with said journal pin bearings, said sign members during a portion ot their rotation about a common axis passing to a point below and exterior of the case structure; electric lamps mounted in said sign members. and there being means to conduct an electric circuit 'through said arms and within said sign members to illui'uinate said electric lamps.
