u Application nl ermye, 1926. sgfiif'na-1oe1'aei -This invention relatesjto locking devices yas appliedv todoors andwin'dows whereby the same may j be securedy I within their Vcasings at thetop and bottom as well as the' front;
to provide .a simple and etlicien't vlock of the Aclass-described so arranged thatV all ofthe several bolts employed are actuated simultaneously by'rotating 'asingle han'dv knob. l0 Itis a further feature to provide means 4for positively retaining the bolts in anex-` tended, operative position untilkey released.

When the bolt 45 is retracted the recess 55 permits the lug 53 to rotate freely without affecting the bolt; andif it be desired the bolt may be maintained in its retracted position by a slide 56 khaving a detent 57 engageable in an opening 58l in the bolt, the slide being movable by a knob 59 having a clears the lugs30 and 3l when the key roll-back is operated.
. 'In the outer side of the bolt 60 are two spaced notches 69 and 70, each being respectively Vreceptive vof the detent 36 carried on the transverse dead bolt 33, whereby the bolt 60 is positively maintainedv in either of its adjusted positions. v
A recess 71V inthe bolt 60 1s receptive of a detent 2 carried by a slide 7 3,.actuated by a knob 74 inthe Vmanner previously described.
. In operation, the parts being in locked yor operative position,l as shown in Fig. 1and it-be desi/red to unlock the same, the key rollback 28 is rotated to bring the lug 30 or 31 Y into engagement, first withthe arm 44, raising-thespring actuated latch 40, 'releasing the bolt 33l and permitting it to be shifted y inwardly by continued rotation ofthe key rollback the bolt133 becoming locked by t'he'endofits movement and the longitudinal boltsreleased from the detents 52 and 36.
Thereafterby rotating the doorV knob the roll- back lugs 53 and 67 move the longitudinal bolts 45 and 60 inwardly to clear' their ends from their 'keepers as will be i readily understood. i
1 Obviously a rreversal of operativeV movements will cause lockingarrangernent of n Y the several bolts in an effective manner.
j @The bolts 45 and 60 may be permanently V restrained by their respective slides 53 yand 73, and when so restrained will not interfere with theoperation of the dead bolt 33 which may be' projected when the longitudinal bolts are either projected or retracted. f
'It will be understoodthat minor 4changes l Vmaybe inade in the structure of the parts,
including their arrangement, without departing from the general scope-and tenor of 85T the appended claims, and also that portions of the inventionmaybe used without others.
Having thus described my invention and set forth the manner of its construction and application, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Lettersl Patent, is
