In certain billing operations, a ledgersheet is introduced around the platen and is broughtup over a table adjacent thev front of the platen, with the side edge of said ledger-sheet .gaged against a: side-edge gage. claim 1. In atypewriting machine, the combina-\ tion with a cylindricalplaten, of means for collating sheets superposed one upon the other, in overlapping relation, with the SlClG edge of the underlying sheetentending beyond the overlying sheet, including a single collating table upon which both of said sheets rest, saidcollating table having an outer side-edge gage for theunder worksheet, an overhanging side-edge gage, and,
means supporting said overhanging gage with its under edge suificiently close to said table, to enable it to gage] the overlying sheet, but sufliciently separated from said table to permit the underlying sheet to be passed under the overhanging gage to reach the outer gage.
