This invention relates to mounts for photographs and more particularly to easel mounts of the typeshown in my Patent, No. 1,396,724, granted November 15, 1921, and .5 my copending application 757,051, filed December 19, which .the side edges are bent back to form the supporting elements, it is impracticable to fold these side members over the .front 10 area so as to protect a picture therein during shipping or storage. 'Moreover, whenthe corner pockets are struck up from the material of the mountand the mounts are packed solidly, there is a tendency for thecorner mpockets to be crushed down flat into the mountso that it-is difficult to slip .a corner of a card'under them.

-Among the objects of the present invention' isthe provision of flaps or doors that 2 may be folded over a picture to protect the same or which may be folded back to reveal the picture in an artistic manner. Another object is to provide meansnfor holding the pockets out from-the mount so that they will not be crushed during storage. I

These and other objects are obtained by the provision of an additional member having corners which may be thrust under the pockets holding them out from the'mount, and the provision upon the edges of such a member of flaps which may be folded over the display area or may be folded back to re-' veal the same. i

The easel consists of a central body portion 1 having at its side edges flaps 2 which maybe bent back into supporting position or may be folded over the rear as shown in Fig. 5.. In accordance with my present invention, however, I use a second sheet having a central rectangular portion 6 with corners 7 adapted to engage within the pockets 5. Along two side edges of the portion are flaps 8 which may be folded over said central portions as shown in Figure 5 to protect the same, or may be opened to'reveal the display area of the central portion as shown. in Fig ure 1. A mount for photographs comprising a supporting sheet havingthereon pocket members adapted to embrace the corners of a card and a second sheet comprising a central portion having corners adapted to be embraced by said pocket members and havingflaps adapted to be folded over said central portion or to be foldedback to render visible the central portion, the pocket members extending beyond the corners of the second sheet sufficiently to permit the in sertion of the corners of a picture card beneath said pocket members and above said second sheet, said flaps being cut away adj'acent their inner corners by amounts as without interferencetherewith.
