On the. slidable jaw member 16 may also be one or two spaced corresponding yielding clamps or ejectors, as 23, 23 for servingto holdthe blades between .the jaw members,
and. each of these ejectors is in the form of a spring finger which may be struck out of the bottom of the groove 17 of this member so-that one of its ends is free. The device is employed for sharpening razor blades by moving the knob 20 for moving the stem 18 outwardly of the handle to adjust the slidable jaw member 16 its maximum distance beyond the free end of the jaw member 14. The razor blade is then arranged on: the slidable jaw member 16 over its fingers or clamps'or ejectors. 23, 2S, and the slidable aw member with the stem 18 and knob 20 are reversely moved to cause 1 the blade tobe removably clamped between both jaw members. The holder is manipulated for sharpening the blade in usual manner, and afterward .by moving the knob 20, stem 18 and the jaw member 16 outwardly from the handle 10,. as above explained, the heads 24 Off the fingers 23,;23 lwill engage and carry the blade alongwiththe. jaw
Having thus described my'inventio-n, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent: Y
14 razor blade holder, comprising a-v tubular handle having extending onapproximately asimilarrelativeplane from one of its ends a fixed rigid strip member for supporting the razor blade, a second strip slid abl'e onthe fixed strip memberxfor clamping the razor blade, hooks on the side edges of the slidable strip member overlapping. the side edges of the fixed strip member for loosely holding the slidable strip member in movable contact with the fixed strip member, two spring fingers protruding outwardly of the groove of the slidable strip member, each finger having anunattached end with a head forengagingand. carrying the razor blade with. the slidable'strip memher when moved from contact with the fixed strip member, and a stem on the slidable strip movable inwardly and outwardlyof the tubular handle for moving the slidable strip and its finger.
