.Application med Iuly9,
The present invention relates to a sanitary milk bottle and has c-for its principal object to provide an exceedingly-simple and in'expnsiv'e structure of this nature which may formed of paper material in conjunction withparaiinfv v -Another important object ofthe invention is to providea .sanitary milk bottle of this nature which will be highly efficient and reliablein use, easy to manufacture, and
otherwise welll adapted to .the purpose for which it is designed.
With the above and'numei'ousother obl .jectsin view as will appear as the descrip V tion proceeds, the invention resides in cer-'- tain novel features of construction as will Abe hereinafter more fully described and.
claimed.
In` the drawing- Figure 1 is an elevation-of the milk bottle embodying the features of my invention,
lig. 2 is a vertical -section therethrough,
' an ix Fig. 3 is a fragmentary transverse section therethrough.
' Referring to' the drawing in detail it will be seen that the body of the bottle is formed from a strip of relatively thick paper'material indicated at 5 which'is curvedtransversely to simulate the general formation of the body et an Yits ends overlapped as is indicated at 6.
Paraiiin or the like 7 -is applied 4to the edges of the overlap ing ends as is indicated to advantage in ig. 3, thereby providing a .tight joint. A bottom strip 8 is then formed and applied to the bottom open end of the strip 5 and a seal of paraffin as is indicated at Qmsnbe provided. 40 Para paper 10 of less thickness than the strip 5 is applied on the entire inner surface of said strip 5, as is indicated to advantage'in Fig. 2.and a coating of paraiiin is applied to the interior surface thereof. A similar sheet of parain paper 11 is then appliedtotheexteriorof the sheet 5 and.
:and .sterilizing -after claime ordinary milk bottle, and has ma. smal 110,411,470,
lbottom 8 and is thoroughly sealed bythe use of` a paraiiin coating.- These paraiiin coatings may begapplied in any other well known wby's. v l
From e above detailed description it will be seen that I have constructed abottle which is exceedingly cheap from amanu'- facturing standpoint but be suiciently strong and durable to withstand the usages to which an ordinary milk bottle is' put and belpause of cheapness can bia awaylieanyoterpaperrecetace r a' been used. The cost of tiiis milk bottlev hardly be any more than the cost of cleaning the ordinary glass milk bottle.
The present embodiment of, the invention has been disclosedmerely by way of example since in actual practice it has proved to attain the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the .above description.
It will be apparent thatfnumerous changes in the details of construction, andin the combination and arrangement o f parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or sco of the invention as hereinor sacrificing any of its 'advantages..
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:-
A` sanitary milk bottle of the class de-- scribed including a strip of -relatively thick paper material rolled only once toprovide a hollow body having overlapping s1de edges 80 -sealed with parain, the bottom edge of the body being turned inwardly, a bottom applied exteriorly to the inturned bottom edge of the body and sealed .in respect to the body withparain, a paper coating inside the body `and bottom an coated with paraiiin, and an outer paper coating onv thel ,outside of the body and bottom and coated with araiin, said outer paper coating holdmgtgsbottom uiiplaci aix tu w Y timon w ereo a m si a re.
