E. PEARSON MEDIC INE DROPPER' HOLDER Filed March 29-, 1926 gnaw/14 3M fan-H PEARSON Patented Feb. 22., 1927.
PATENT OFFICE.
EDITH PEARSON, OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.
MEDICINE DROPPER HOLDER.
- Application filed March 29, 1926. Serial No. 98,278.
This invention relates to medicine dropper holders, and has for one of its objects the provision of a simple, economical and eflicient medicine dropper holder, which may readily be applied to bottles.
lVith the foregoing object in view, together with such other objects and advantages as may subsequently appear, this invention resides in the construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and claimed, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a bottle to which is secured the medicine dropper holder of my invention,
Figure 2 is a cross section of one side of the bottle showing in cross section a medicine dropper holder thereto;
Figure 3 is a perspective view ofthe medicine dropper holder.
Figure 4 is a plan view of the medicine dropper holder before it is formed, as shown in Figure 8, and 7 Figure 5 is an end view of Figure 4.
Referring to the drawings for more detailed description thereof, the medicine dropper holder of my invention may be formed from a single sheet which is folded at its medial line, the fold being indicated by the numeral 7, and clearly indicated in Figure 5. 7
After folding the sheet the opposing sides are secured to eachother by a line of stitching 8, which is parallel to the fold 7. The opposing portions of the sheet between the fold 7 and the stitching 8 are separated to form a tube 9, adapted to hold a medicine dropper 10 shown in Figure 1.
To the right of the line of stitching, as shown in Figure 3, the opposing portions 11 and 12 of the sheet are bent at angles to the tubular portion 9, and extend therefrom in opposite directions. The portions 11 and 12 are shown in the drawings as being flat and coplanar. TIOWGVGIQ it is to be understood that when applied to a round bottle they i may be bent to fit the bottle, as my device I may be made of flexible material such for example as paper.
The faces of the portions 11 and 12, which are opposite thetubular portion 9, have an adhesive material such for example as glue, applied to them so that when these surfaces are wet they may be applied to a bottle 15,
as shown in Figures-1 and 2. Although it be readily devised without departing from the spirit of my invention, and it is to be understood that such modifications come within the scope of the appended claims.
I claim i 1. A medicine dropper holder comprising a folded sheet, the portion of said sheet adjacent the fold being in the form of a tube, the end portions of said sheet being at angles to the tube.
'2. A medieine dropper holder comprising a folded sheet, the portion of said sheet adj acent the fold being in the form of a tube, the end portions of said sheet being at angles to the tube and having adhesive material applied thereto. 7
8. A medicine dropper holder comprising a folded sheet, the sides of said folded sheet being secured to each other to form a tube for the reception of a dropper, the end portions of said sheet extending at angles from the tube.
4:. A medicine dropper holder comprising a folded sheet the sides of which are secured to each other along a line adjacent to and substantially parallel with the fold.
5. A medicine dropper holder comprising a folded sheet the sides of which are secured to each other along a line adjacent to and substantially parallel with the fold, the ends I of said sheet having adhesive material applied thereto.
