ATHLETIC HARNESS AND HERNIA SUPPORT.
Application filed October 2, 1925. Serial No. 60,112.
1l1ate1"-iaZ.-Solid rubber similar to and of about the same thickness as that commonly used in making the inner tubes for the medium sized automobile tires. The inven- 5 tion consists of a waist. belt about 3 inches wide, to which are attached strips or suspenders about 2 inches wide passing over the shoulders and between the legs and buttoned to the waist belt as shown in drawings No. 1 shows front view, No. 2 back view, No. 3 side View. This harness when properly made and adjusted to each individual case will hold ruptured or weakened parts in place in most cases Without pads or extra pressure, but where such is needed a soft cushion or cloth folded to required thickness and placed under strap at the point where extra pressure is needed will suflice. This appliance taken as a whole is by far the most comfortable support I have found on the market. The back, groins, stomach, in fact the whole body is supported in an easy and natural Way that is an invaluable support to athletes, and those doing violent exercise, hard labor, or heavy lifting of any kind. The material guarantees perfect comfort and adjustment to every movement of theloody.
Claim:
An athletic harness and hernia support comprising shoulder straps, a belt and leg stra'ps, all of solid rubber of sufiicient elasticity, width and thickness to exercise mild pressure on ruptured or weakened parts of the human body.
