An album frame comprising in combination With an open oblong rectangular frame and a plate fitting the opening in the frame, of a pair of spaced hinges, each having one leaf fixed on one of the longer frame elements, the other leaves of said hinges being lined on said plate, a single straight pintle rod for both hinges, a unitary spring encircling said' rod having cutturned ends resting on the frame liXed leaves oi the hinges, an oppositely directed element midway in the length of the spring extending over said plate, an eye formed in said element, and a screw passing through said eye into said plate.`
3. .ein album frame comprising in combination with an open oblong rectangular frame, of a plate fitting the frame, a pair oi" spaced hinges connecting the plate to one otl the longer frame members, said hinges having a pintle rod common to both and ez;- tending therebetween, a spring Wire having an eye lined on said plate and oppositely coiled ends encircling said rod in opposite relation, the ends of the encircling coils being outturned to rest upon the fixed leaves of said hinges, a ring carried by said plate to facilitate openings, and buttons pivote'd on the opposite member of said frame to hold the plate in closed position.
