IMPROVEMENT IN HARVESTER-CUTTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 157,592, dated December 8,1874, application filed February 3, 1874.
To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, RUEUs DUTToN, of the city of Yonkers, in the county otl Westchester and State of New York, have invented a new and useful lmprovementrin Fastening Fingers to the Finger-Bars of Harvesting-Machines5 and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, and ofthe mode or manner of operation, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon, and making a part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improved method for keeping the front ends of ingers in place, both laterally and vertically, when attached to the bar.

There is a corresponding,` hole drilled in the bar, for the reception of the other end of the pin. When the linger is attached to the bar, and bolted firmly with the bolt a, the pin c keeps the end of the ringer from being displaced when in use.

The combination of the tinger-bar, the iinger,.the bolt, and the steady or dowel pin, sub-` stantially as and for the purpose set forth.
