LUG AND HEEL-STRAP SUPPORT.
Application filed January 8, 1925.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HOMER MERONEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of South Carolina, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Lug and Heel-Strap Supports; and I do hereby declare the following to be a. full, clear, and
exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The present invention relates to a lug and heel strap support for use in connection with a Draper or other loom.
Other objects and advantages will be apparent and suggest themselves as the nature of the invention is understood.
While the drawings illustrate an embodiment of the invention it is to be understood that in adapting the same to meet different conditions and requirements, various changes in the form, proportion and minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the nature of the invention.
Referring to the accompanying drawings forming a part of the specification,

Figure 2 is a front View of the attachment showing the same on a larger scale,

Figure 4 is a sectional detail on the line 44 of Figure 2.
Corresponding and like parts are referred to in the following description and designated in the several views of the drawings by like reference characters.
Serial No. 1,222.
The device consists of a single article which may be cast, stamped, or drop-forged as found most advantageous, the same hav ing the general outline as indicated most clearly in the accompanying drawings.
The numeral 10 denotes an elongated body which is tapered at its l wer end and enlarged at its upper end, the tapered end 11 terminating in a knob-shaped enlargement 12 for connection of the heel strap fasteners or loops therewith. The upper enlarged or widened end is provided with an opening 13 to receive a screw or like fastening and in opposite edge portions are notches as indi cated at 14: to receive the lug. some distance from the upper end of the body, and a short distance from the lower tapered end 11 is provided an opening 15 to receive the heel bolt, guards 16 being provided at opposite edges of the body in line with the opening 15 to afford protection to the bolt. It'will thus be understood that the device is advantageous as a lug and heel strap support in connection with looms of the Draper type.
\Vhat is claimed is A lug and heel strap support comprising an elongated body, means at the lower end of said body for connection to a heel strap, said body having an opening adjacent said ends, guards integral with the body at opposite edges thereof in line with the opening, and said body adjacent its upper end having an opening and notches below said opening, said notches being in opposite edges of the body and adapted to receive a lug strap.
