Be it known that I, BENJAMIN F. STEW- Alrr, a citizen of the United States, residing at Birmingham, in the county of Jefferson and State of Alabama, have invented a new and useful Marcel llaver, of which the following is a specication.

This invention relates to hair curling devices and more particularly to Marcel wavers.

The object of the invention is to provide a device of this character for producing a permanent Marcel Waver which is construct-- ed cheaply and may be easily employed.

lVith the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood thatl changes in the precise embodiment of thev invention herein disclosed may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing` from the spirit of the invention.

The waver constituting this invention comprises a sheet metal casing l composed of a top and bottom member 2 and 3 hingedly connected along one side edge as shown at 4 with the top adapted to overlap the bottom as is shown clearly in Figure 2.

Removably mounted in the casing l is a fiat metal strip l0, the bent portion il. which forms the waves being arranged to alternate and the ends of said strip are removably mounted in clips 12 and 1 3 carried by the casing l, being preferably fixed to the bottom thereof.
