Be it known that I, JOHN ERDosY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia, and 'State of Pennsylvania., have invented certain new and useful Improvements in I-lot-Air and Vapor Bath Devices, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to bath devices and more especially to devices designed for use in taking hot air or vapor baths, and its objects are to provide a simple device adapted to confine the hot air or vapors and deiiec-t themito all parts of the body and tio provide a' device which may be quickly and Veasily set up or taken down, which occupies but little space when not in use, and to which access may be readily had.

These objects, and other advantageous ends which will be rdescribed hereinafter, I attain in the following manner, reference being had to the accompanying drawings in which v Figure 1 isa plan view of a bath device constructed in accordance with my invention, y

Referring to the drawings, 1 indicates a collapsible supporting frame made in sections 2 and 3 connected to each other at their ends 4 and 5'. The connection inc ludes a socket 6 in one section into which litsV a pin 7 secured to the other section.

be used. I have found that a pair adjacent each end of the supporting frame is sufficient to firmly hold the frame in raised position. The legs of each `pair are detachably connected by a pivot pin 14 held in place by a cotter pin 15.

A. bed 16 is supported by the frame and consists of longitudinal strips 17 secured to the ends 4 and 5 of the frame, and transverse strips 18 interwoven with the longi tudinal strips and secured to the sides 9 and 10 of the frame. The transverse strips are so disposed that the T-heads 11 will be between the transverse strips and thereby held against sliding movement on the sides 9 and 10. The transverse strips 18 are of such material as to yield sufficiently to allow disconnection of the sections 2 and 3 at their ends 4 and 5 when collapsing the frame.

A baffle sheet 19 is disposed under the bed and supported by the frame at 20. This baffle sheet prevents the hot air or vapors, coming from a heating device 21, from impinging directly against the body of a` person on the bed, and deflects the vapors toward the ends and sides of the frame where they may pass upward between the strips 17 and 18 which form the bed. Spacers 22 of any suitable construction are secured to the baiile 19 in any manner for keeping the baffle sheet from being raised into engagement with the body of a person on the bed.

A cover 23 is composed of a framework 24 hinged at 25 and having secured thereto clips 26 which. detachably support spans 27. A covering 28 rests on spans 27 and is secured to framework 24 in any suitable manner. The covering is provided with a cutout part 29 through which the head of the user may extend. This cut-out part is partially closed by an elastic sheet 30 which is adapted to engage the body of a person and prevent the hot air or vapors from escaping. This cover 23 rests on frame 11 encloses the upper part of bed 16, and is held to the frame by springs 31 connected to the spans at 32 and to connecting part-s such as eyes or hooks 33 secured to the T-heads. These springs 31 may be readily connected or disconnected from the spans or the eyes.

A casing 34 is supported by frame 1 in any suitable manner, preferably by providing snap fasteners 35' o n the strips 17 and 18 and on the upper edge 36' of the casing.
