Be it known that I,'Dnwnr l-I. BrrNnY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Albion, county ot' Galhoun, State 01": Michigan, have invented certain new and useful lmproven'ients in Oven Racks, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in oven racks.

The main object of this invention is to provide an improved rotatable oven rack which may be readily adapted to ovens of different dimensions.

A further object is to provide an improved rotatable oven rack which is-light in weight and at the same time strong and durable.

A still further-obj set is to provide an oven rack having these advantages which is economical to produce. I

Objects pertaining to details and econo mies of my invention will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow.

I accomplish the objects of my invention by the devices and means described in the following specification. The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in the claims.

A structure embodying the feature of my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings forming a part of this application, in which:

Referring to .the drawing, I provide a pair of support members 1 adapted to rest upon the shelf ledges of an oven, these support members being of general U-shape having inwardly projecting arms 2. The arms in the structure illustrated are inwardly ofiset' at 3. These arms have longitudinal slots l therein in overlapping telescoping relation.

The arms are connected by bolts 5 arranged through the downturned ends 6 of the cross pieces 7, these cross pieces being, arranged in crossed relation as illustrated.

I provide a turntable consisting of the rim 9 and cross slats 10 of iron welded to the upper side thereof. A cross piece 11 is disposed below the slats 10 with its ends 12 resting upon and secured to the upper side of the rim.

The pivot bolt 13 is arranged through this cross piece 11 of the turn table and through the'hole 8 of the cross pieces 7 so that the turn table is ,rotatably supported with its rim resting upon the arms of the support members. A. washer 14 is arranged between the cross piece 11 of the turn table and the IVith this arrangement of parts I provide 1 an oven rack that can be readily adjusted to ovens of Clll'IQlGIlt dlmensions or sizes.

The structure is very strong and rigid and at the same time may be formed of quite light material so that it is economical to produce and also easily handled.

Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. An oven rack comprising a pair of support members having inwardly projecting parallel longitudinally slotted arms dis-' posed in coacting telescoping relation, a pair of cross pieces disposed in crossed relation between said arms and having downturned ends. secured thereto by bolts disposed through said downturned ends and engaging said slots in said arms whereby the support members are adjustably connected, a turntable comprising a rim and slats secured to the upper side thereof, a cross piece disposed transversely below said slats and having its [ends secured to the upper side of the rim,

and a pivot disposed through said turn table cross piece and support cross pieces at their crossing point with the rim of said turntable rotatably supported by said support member arms.

2. An oven rack comprising a pair of sup port members having inwardly projecting parallel longitudinally slotted arms disposed in coacting telescoping relation, a pair of cross pieces disposed incrossed relation between said arms and having downturned ends secured thereto by bolts disposed through said downturned ends and engaging said slots in said arms whereby the support members are adjustably connected, a turntable, and a pivot for said turntable disposed through said support cross pieces at their crossing point.

3. An oven rack comprising a pair of support members having inwardly projecting parallel longitudinally slotted arms disposed the-support members are adjustably connected, a turntable, and a pivot for said turntable disposed through said support cross pieces at theircrossing point.
