15 is put under tension so that as soon as the pull on the bridle ceases, the head is brought; back to the original position by the action of spring 15. If only the right hand side bridle or the left hand side bridle is being pulled so that this bridle is upwardly inclined, the head turns around the axis of support 5 which revolves in the casing 8. The tail 16 is thus swung to the right or to the left. As the front end of rod 11 fixed by stud 13 at some distance from the pivot axle l of the head this red is moved at the lifting and lowering of the head and the tail swings up and down. Inversely the head can be raised and lowered and turned to and fro if the tail is being moved or the lever 19 oscillated. If it is not desired that the head he raised and lowered with the aid of the tail or the tail be swung up and down by raising and lowering of the head the rod 11 and the lever 19 can be suppressed. The tail swings then only in lateral. direction if the head is turned but it remains at rest if the head is raised and lowered.
Instead of the spring 15 a weight or pres sure spring can be used and instead of the flexible bridles rigid means could be provided which permit to exert a pressure.
The invention does not relate only to toy figures the body of which is horizontal but to toy figures of any kind, also to figures which stand upright. The invention relates preferably to toy figures of cloth which are stuffed and which are specially arranged so that they can be fixed upon the tubular support arranged in the body and so that they can be turned in any directions. lhe inven tion relates also to solid figures, for instance wooden toy figures in which the head and the tail or only the head are movable.
I claim 1. A toy figure with movable head coinprising in combination with the body of the toy figure and with the head of the same. a cup-shaped plate on the lower surface of the head, a cup-shaped plate closing the neck of the body of the toy figure, a casing in the head open at the end which is turned towards the neck, a support for the head rotatablylocated in the body of the toy figure and projecting into said casing in the head. and a pivot pin oscillatably connecting said casing with said support.

A. toy figure with movable head comprising in combination with the body of the toy figure and with the head of the same, a cup-shaped plate on the lower surface of the head, a cup-shaped plate closing the neck of the body of the toy figure, a casing in the head open at the end which is turned towards the neck, a tubular support for the head rotatably located in the body of the toy figure and projecting into said casing in the head, a pivot pin oseillatably connecting said casing with said support, a means located in said tubular support for moving the head, and a stud for said means hingedly connecting the same with said casing.

A toy figure of the type described comprising in combination with the body of the toy figure and with the head of the same, a. tubular support in said body projecting at both ends from said body, a stud in the head rotatably mounted in the front end of said tubular support, a rod movably mounted in said tubular support, and hingedly connected at its front end with said head, a lever serving as tail of the toy figure oscillatably mounted on the rear end of said tubular support, and a hinge'pin pivotally con necting said tail lever with the rear end of said rod.
5. A toy figure of the type described comprising in combination with the body and head of said figure, atubular support rotatably mounted in said body, means for oscillably mounting the head on the front end of said tubular support, a rod movably locatedin said tubular support hingedly connected at the front end with said head a tail hingedly mounted on the rear end of said tubular support and of said-movable rod, and a bridle the ends of which are attached at either side of the head.
