A represents a couple of little flanged buttons for receiving and holding the paper, a. TheseV buttons are each connected to one end of a jointed arm, B C, of thin steel or other suitable metal, which, at its other end, is pivoted to the tympan-clamp D by a screw or other equivalent device, so'that it can he shifted both on its pivot and its joint F, to adjust the buttons to any position required within the range of the platen G, according to the size of the paper to be printed. In this case the two arms are connected to the tympan-clamp by one screw, E 5 but a separate screw for each may be used, if preferred.
