Immun wiinmm ffl-W7 UNITED STATES WILLIAM VVOERLE, OF MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN.
IMPROVEMENT IN BEER-COOLERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l 51,26 l, dated May 26, 1874; application tiled January 19, 1871. l
To all whom fit may concern:
Beit known that I, WILLIAM WOERLE, of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee, in the State of Wisconsin, have invented certain Improvements in Beer-Swimmers, of which the IblloWing is a specification:
My invention has for its object the cooling of beer, and is a swimmer to be lled With ioe and ioated on the top of the beer, and is made ot' metal in strips or sections running from the top of the swimmer to the. bottom, theseams running up and down, and the sides of the metal folded so as to forni adouble seam, making the inside smooth and the outside soldered, with a projecting bottom to balance the swim- ]lll". A
Figure l is a perspective View of my invention.
A is the bodgT of the swimmer, made with strips of metal running from top to bottom; 13
a round proiectingbottom to balance Vthe swimmer and keep it from tipping over; C, the ears with which to handle it; D, a rim of met-al round the top of the swimmer, which is dispensed with when the metal strips are longl enough to make the swimmer deep enough. Round the projecting bottom is a rim of metal, With holes in it to let out the air, so tha-t the air shall not buoy it up and tip it over.
I do not claim the subjeetmatter of thebeercooler of L. Schmitt, patented pril 29, 1873 but What I do claim is- A beer-swimmer made of metal strips running from top to bottom, With a ring round it, with holes in said ring to let the air out, substantially as described.
WILLIAM WOERLE.
