These beams diverge upwardly lines in Fig. 3, after which the drawer 21 is 11 pulled forward so as to extend under and support the holder 23. Thus the wall 26 of the holder can be used as a desk. By pushing the drawer 21 inwardly, the hold er 23 will gravitate to the position shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
Drawer 21 and the compartments 16 and 20 can be used "for holding various articles such as books, chalk, era-sers, etc.
What is claimed is 1. A device 01 the class described including" a base, an integral frame upstandingtherefrom, said base havingsuperposed conr' partinents, the lower compartments being extended "forwardly beyond the upper coinpartments, counterbalanced means for supporting the frame and base, a holder pivotally connected to and normally suspended beneath the base, and a drawer in the base and slidable under the holder to support the holder in a forwardly extended position in front of the base.
2. A device of the class described including an adjustably supported structure comrising a frame and a base below and integral with the frame, said base having superposed compartments a holder pivotally connected to and normally suspended under the base and having separate compartments, said holder being movable to forwardly extending position in front of the base with the front wall of the holder constituting stops thereof to provide a writing desk, and a drawer in the base movable to position under the holder to be supported in forwardly extending position.
In testimony that 1 claim the foregoing as my own, I have hereto atlixed my signa ture in the presence of two witnesses.
