This advance description makes it plain to the reader that the two pairs of doors operate together, and this being so,.it is equally clear that there is merely a duplicate arrangement or the doors so that access to the cabinet may be had from one side or the other. A flange extending ug from 'the back 4, provides a convenient means lor fastening the cabinet to any suitable support. The ilange 6, referred to above, ex* tends completely around the cabinet.

The closure of the doors 11 and 12 permits a spring L16 to rock the door-operated lock rod d3 through the medium or' the crank 12 in such. a direction as to retract the bolts el and 45 from the keepers 34 and 35. Should either the door 11 or 12 be in the open position, the crank i2 would be moved in the opposite direction through the medium of one or the other oiz the .spri gs Ll1 aml thereby move both bolts and 115 into engagement with said keepers. ln order to permit opening either door or 1d, it is necessary for the housewife to set a milk bottle upon the platform 27 in the compartment 9, thereby causing the Weight lock rod 31 and the bolts 32 and to rock downward and release said doors 13 and 11 tor opening.

Even the housewife cannot get' the full bottle of milk unless she opens one or the other of the doors ll and l2 and places another empty milk bottle ou the plat-form 27. She is next compelled to close the doors to the compartment 9 so as to retract the bolts 4st and l5 from the respective keepers, the bolts 32 and 83 having been retracted by the act of placing the bottle on the platform 27. Either door 13 or l-l can nosv be opened to take the full milk bottle, but the doors ll and l2 are again loc`I ed by the attendant release of Weight from the platform lr so that the empty milk bottle cannot be retaken from the compartment 9.
One of the advantages of this milk safe is that the housewife will always have her milk bottle out, that is to say, the full milk bottle cannot be obtained unless an empty bottle is placed into the safe for the next days supply, Another advantage of the milk safe is that the stealingof both full and empty milk bottles is safeguarced against. Furthermore, stray animals are prevented from getting the milk bottles, this often being` the case When milk bottles are left exposed on door steps, etc.
lVhile the construction and arrangement of the improved milk bottle safe as herein described and claimed is that of a generally preferred form, obviously inodications and changes may be made Without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the claims.
