To all whom it may concern o Be it known that I, FRANK KRo'N', a citizen of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the county of Jackson and State of Missouri, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Ice-Pick Holders, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to improvements in ice pick holders.

One of the objects of my invention is to provide a holder of the kind described which is simple, cheap to make, durable, not liable to get out of order, which will hold an ice pick in an easily accessible position and without danger of injury to persons passing adjacent thereto. 7

A further object of my invention is the provision of a holder of the kind described formed from a single piece. of sheet metal made into a tube and provided with supporting legs having means for attachment to a suitable support.

My invention provides further novel. fea tures of construction hereinafter fully described and claimed.

The holder comprises preferably an upwardly flaring tube adapted to receive the stem of an ice pick and to support the handie of the latter in a position extending jg bove the upper end of the tube, as shown in ig. 1. V

The tubular holder has one or more rearwardly extending legs having means for attachment to a suitable support.

In the preferred embodiment of my invention, I provide a blank, such as is shown in Fig. 6, comprising a sheet of suitable material, such as tin plate or sheet brass. The blank has a body portion 1 which is formed into an upwardlyffiaring tube- 2,

From the longitudinal edges 5 andlfibi' the blank 1 are provided lateral extensions 7,18, -9 and 10 respectively; The extensions 7 and 8, after the tube has been formed, ex tend rearwardly side by sideand are held together by means of a lip 11, provided on the extension 7 and which is folded over the upper edge of the extension 8. The ex- 7 tensions 7 and 8 at their rear ends are turned laterally in opposite directions to form feet 12 and 13, each of whichhas a hole 14 adapted to receive a securing device-such as anail15. 7

The extensions 9 and 10, after the tube has been formed, extend rearwardlyside by side and are held together by a lip 16 on the extension 9 which is folded over the lower edge of the extension 10. Therear 7 ends of the extensions 9 and 10 are turned laterally to form feet 17 and 18, each of v which is provided with a hole 14 adapted to receive a securing device, suchas a nail 15.

The nails 15-may be driven into any suit- 5 V able support such as an upright board 19, Fig. 1, so as'to fasten the feet 12, 13, 17 and 18 flatwise against the board with. the tube 2 disposed in, an upright position.

As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the longitudinal edge portions may be overlapped, to pre vent liability of the point ofthe pick passing between the longitudinal edges when the pick is thrust into the tube 2.

I do not limit my invention to the structure shown anddescribed, as many modifi-' cations, within the scope of the appended. claims, may be .made without departing from the spirit of my invention. V

An ice pick holder comprising a sheet of suitable material formed into a tube, the longitudinaledges of the sheet having respectively two rearwardly extending portions disposed side by side, one havinga lip folded over the other for holding the portions together, said portions having means for attachment to a suitable support.

4. An ice pick holder -coinpris'ing a sheet of suitable material formed into an upwardly flaring tube, each longitudinal edge of the sheet having two rearwardly extending portions disposed respectively side by side 'With respect to the extensions from the other longitudinal edge, the rear ends of adja'cent extensions being turned laterally respectively in opposite directions and having means for attachment to a suitable support, one extension of'each pair having a lip folded over the other extension of the pair for holding the extensions together. 7
