IMPROVEMENT IN FQTRESTS FOR STOVES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. llll, dated March 10,1874; application filed October 31, 1873.-
To all whom it muy concern:
Be it known that we, ARTI-TUR P; Yuri-3s and WILLIAM L. TUCKER, of the city of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented a certain new and Improved Attachable Foot-Rest for Stoves and Radiators; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the saine, reference being had to the annexed drawings, which forin part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a stove with the rest attached. Fig. 2 shows the rest detached.
A is any ordinary parlor-stove or radiator. The rest consists of the pad-plate or cushion B. The pad-plateis held to the stove by arms C O, upon the end of which are the peculiarlyshaped hooks 7L 7L, the lower prong of which is bent up so as to clinch to the under side of the rim R of the stove A, and with the upper prong it can readily be slipped over the rim when the arnis are lowered, and when the arms are raised the prongs will hold the rest r'inly' to the stovei To keep it raised to any desirable position, we use the support S, which is hinged or otherwise fastened to the under side of the pad-plate, and provided with a screwthreaded rod, as shown, whereby the rest may be adjusted to various-sized stoves, 85o.
