The preferred form of construction as illustrated in the drawings comprises a blank formed into four consecutive box sides, 6, 7 8 and 9 adapted and arranged to be folded to form a tubular collapsible box, the side wall 6 being provided with a flap 10 which is secured to the inner side of the wall 9 for .this purpose. 6, 7, 8 and 9 are provided with the usual sealing flaps at their ends and whereby the ends of the box may be closed in the usual manner. The side wall 9 is provided with a strip 11 having a head 12 as shown and the side wall as G is provided with slits 13 and 14 as shown. The-slits 13 are arranged in two sets or pairs of parallel slits and through which the strip 11 is adapted to be laced'as indicated in order to form a retainer for a tooth brush-15 or the like. The head 12 of the strip 11 is inserted in the slit 14, thus locking the strip in place. By this arrangement a simple and effective construction is provided which is capable of economical manufacture and which may be employed for displaying articles of considerable size such as tooth brushes; hat brushes, and the like.

\Vhile I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction for carrying my invention into effect, this is capable ofvariation and modification without departing from the spirit of the invention. I, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations 85 and modifications as come within the scope. of the appended claims.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Let-: ters Patent is: e

1. A display box comprising a foldable box body; and a flexible strip secured at one end of said body, there being slits formed in said body through which the free end of said strip is laced to form a retainer for holding an article to be diS- played. V 2. A display box comprising a fold-able boit body; and a flexible strip formed-integr'al'with one side of said body and provided at its free end with a locking head, there being two sets of parallel slits formed. in anadjacent side of said body' through which the free end of said strip is laced toform a retainer for holding an article to be displayed, there being another slit to receive the head on the end of said strip.
