IMPROVEMENT IN WATER AND GAS CUT-OFF OPERATING AND LOCKING MECHANISMS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 147,958, dated February 24, 1 '74; application filed February 10, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EUGENE M. MORRIS, of Baltimore, State of Maryland, have invented a new and Improved ater and Gas Out-Off Operating and Looking Mechanism; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawpart of this specification, in which t Figure 1 is a side elevation. Fig. 2 is a vertical section of case and mechanism. The invention relates to, and consists in, particular means or mechanism for locking and operating the valve of a gas or water cock, as hereinafter described.
A represents the cock, and B the valve'rod, the latter being connected, by intermediate mechanism, with a device in some room of a building, for the purpose of enabling the oc cupant to shut off or put on his gas or water at pleasure.
