To all whom it may concern.: l
Be it known. that I, BLooMFiELD BRowER, of New York, in the State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Station ary Gase, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my invention consists in the construction of a case for calendar-cards, &c., made in one piece, and open at the back and bottom to prevent the collection of dirt or dust.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure I represents a front view ot' my improved case, and Fig. II the same view with the calendar-cards removed. Fig. III is a cross-section of the same, and Fig. IV a top view.
A A are the side pieces of the case, which are recessed to suit the three sets of cards for the days, months, and dates. These sides A A are connected together at the lower end of each recess by the cross bars or pieces 'n n n, and at the top by the cross-bar m, which latter may be arranged with a suitable opening or hole, w, for the purpose of hanging this skeleton-case upon a nail, if desired. The cen Jf-ral parts u of the cross -bars n are slightly raised to confine the lower edges ofthe cards. 0n the front of the side pieces A A small projccting flanges (l C, in a line with the crossbars n, are made on each side to confine the side edges of each pack of cards. 0n the back one or more braces, D D, are arranged, rsuit ably recessed, for the cards to restupon, and
to` confine the same at their back, and connected with the cross-bars on n n n. y
A stationary case constructed in the abovedescribed manner is free from all objections to the present tin or wooden case, no dirt or dust can collect in the same, as the back and bot-l tom of the same are quite open, and this case can be made of cast iron or metal, cast in one piece, and can be produced at a very small cost.
