This invention relates to poinpons or like ornaments and has for its primary object the provision of a. device of this character constructed so as to greatly reduce the cost of manufacture of such devices while simplifying the method and operation of assembling the components thereof, and for giving to the completed device, a symmetrical form and e. relatively lined arrangement of components that will render the device extremely ornamental, strong and durable.

With the ubove and other objects in view which will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the improved construction and novel arrangements of parts which will hereinafter be fully described and particularly pointed out in the claims.

A device of the character described comprising a flexible stem, a foundation member formed from a flexible strip of material provided with parallel rows of bristies, the stein being associated medially of material and associated therewith so as to bind the folds of the strip together and a tuft of feathers secured by an adhesive to said bristles.

6. A device of the character described comprising a cluster of bristles, means for holding said cluster of bristles in a fixed form, and a tuft of feathers or the like secured by an adhesive to said bristles.
