IMPROVEMENT lN BUCKLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 146,693, dated January 20, 1874; application fed May 3l, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Re it known that I, GEORGE H. LEFEVRE, of Winneconne, in the county of Winnebago and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Loops for Fastening Straps to Buckles and Rings; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification.
To avoid the trouble and expense of going to a harness-maker when a buckle is torn from a strap, bridle, or harness, I construct a buckle with a metallic loop, applied as hereinafter described.
A is the buckle. C is the strap, and I) is the loop with pins E. This loop is attached to a buckle constructed as seen in Fig. l. The loop is made to admit two thicknesses of the leather strap, while the end of the strap is pro` vided with one or more holes to receive pins, as seen in Fig. 2. The other end of the strap nis passed through the buckle and then through GEORGE H.V LEFEVRE.
