Be it known that I, EDWARD CUTLER Mon- GAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Display Stands, of which the following is a specitication.d Y

This invention relates to display stands and the principal object is to produce aV V device of this nature which shall Vbe Asimple of construction, cheap vto manufacture, and highly eiicient foi-the purpose for which it is designed.

Another object is to produce a device of this type which may be capable of a large number of adjustments so as to adapt itself to' varying sizes and shapes of articles to be displayed.

With these and other objects in View, 'which will be more apparent. as the speciication proceggis, the invention resides in certain novel construction and combination and arrangement of parts,the essentialfeatures of which are hereinafter fully de scribed, are particularly pointed out in the appended claims, and are illustrated VinV the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 isf a side elevation of my improved display stand in one position.

Referring tothe drawing in detail, it will be seen thatI this display stand is made from three lengths or sections of wire or rod, cach bent to a respective forni and all three pivotally connected. '.lhe reference numeral 10 refers to the base portion which is formed from one length of wire bent so as to form oppositely disposed njm'ardly projected end portions 1l and 1Q. Between the portions 1l Vand 12 the wire is bent to form `agplurality of legs or loops 13 the upper portion oi? each o which is 'formed with a coiistricted entrance 14 oi which the side 14l1 nearer to the portion 12 is quite abrupt and which is provided with an angular lead 15 on the sidenearer to the portion 11.

By reference to the foregoing description and the accompanying drawings, it will be seen that the invention provides a display stand .which includes a base and a removable easel or supporting member, the latter not only being capable of a number of ad'ustments upon the former, but also capabie of being reversed. The stand may thus be used for a great variety of objects, as the easel may be adjusted relatively to the member 11 and reversed and similarly adjusted relatively to the member 12.
