2. In combination with a hydrocarbon motor, an oil circulation system for lubrieating said motor having a valve, said valve having means for by-passing the oil and means movable by the oil pressure in excess of a predetermined pressure for controlling the speed of the motor.

In combination with a hydrocarbon motor, an oilcirculation system for lubri eating saidmotor, a conduit adapted to re-- ceive oil from, and return oil to, said systerm, a plurality of by-passeslead'ing from I said conduit. into said system, certain of said by-passes being adapted to return a predetermined quantity of oil to said system and certain others of said by -PdSSBS being adapted to return-oil to said system after a predetermined oil pressure has been reached, and means-controlled and operated by the oil pressure in excess of said prede termined pressure for controlling the motor.

In combination with a hydrocarbon motor, an oil circulation system for luhri'catin said motor, a valve unit mounted in sai system and comprising a member having a hy-pass normally open and adapted to pass a predetermined quantity'ot' 'oiLat a-pressure not exceedin a predetermined oil pres sure, and a seconc by-pass, normally closed, a valve in said second by-pass, operable by l the oil pressure in excess of said predate mined pressure, to uncover the opening n said by-pass for controllin the motor. 5. In combinatlon'with a liydrocarbon motor having controlling means, an oil circulation system for lubricating said motor, a valve unit disposed in the path of circulation of the oil insaid system. and comprising a main conduit, a bypass opening into said conduit and adapted to permit the passage of oil at a pressure not exceeding a predetermined pressure, a lateral conduit opening into said main conduit, a valve positioned in said lateral conduit and adapted to be operated by the oil pressure in excess of said predetermined pressure and operative connections between said. valve and the controlling means for said hydrocarbon motor.

In combination with a hydrocarbon motor having controlling means, an oil circulation system for lubricating said motor, a valve unit disposed in the path of circulation of the oil in said system and comprising a main conduit, a by-pass opening into said conduit and. adapted to permit the passage of oil at a pressure not exceeding a predetermined pressure, a lateral conduit opening into said main conduit and havin a second by-pass opening, avalve normal y closing said second byass and adapted to be operated by the oi pressure in excess of said predetermined pressure, and operative connecti'ons between said valve and the corn trolling means for said hydrocarbon motor. in testimony whereof I affix my signature.
