To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, Giovanni RTVETTA, engineer, subject of the King of Italy, residing at Paris, France, have invented certain of new and useful Improvements in Centrifugal Force Governors, of which the tollowing is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in centrifugal governors.
The centrifugal governing device according to the present invention comprises essentially in. combination, a spindle, a rotary mass pivoted centrally on said spindle, a spring tending to maintain the pivoted iii-ass lift in an oblique position relatively to said spindle, and a stationary brake ring concentrically encircling the rotary spindle, against the inner suriace of which ring the mass tends to engage when rotated.
lln order that the invention may he clearly understood it will he described, by way of example, with reference to the accompany ing drawing in which Figure l is a sectional view, and
Figure 2 is an underside view.
The governor comprises a mass lifl, obliquely arranged relatively to a spindle A, by which said mass is driven. The spindle A passes through the center of? the mass M 30 to which it is pivotally connected by a pin a. The mass M is held in an oblique position by means of a spring it.
lit will be seen that as soon as a rotary motion is imparted to the spindle it, the 35 mass M owing to the centrifugal force tends to assume a position perpendicular to the spindle A.

The mass M heing surrounded by a stalierial l lo. (lMJAEl.
tionary tuhe T, as shown, it follows that when the mass M tends to assume a perpendicular position and engages the tube, a hralating action will he exerted by the tube T.
The in :1
position under As may he s mass M may h frictional contact with tube by the small blocks KY of a suitable lnirdness, which blocks may he changed when n-orn out.
ss lll tends to resume its former the action of the spring l1.
een from the drawings, the e prevented from coming into the inner wall of the llhe speed of; the apparatus is regulated by trying th therefore mod the mass M.
