MORRIS CRUPAIN, F NEWARK, NEW JERSEY.
SANITARY PACKAGE.
Application led November 9, 1922. Serial No. 599,850.
To all whom t may concern Be it known that-I, Moms Gaurain, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sanitary Packages, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in sanitar packages, one object of the invention beln the provision of a sanitary package especlally designed for dispensing hair nets.
A further object of this invention is the provision of a package for hair nets in which a carrying member for the hair net fits within a transparent fiexible envelope so that the hair net is visible therethrough and at the same time provides a means for holding the envelope extended.
With the foregoing and other objects in view and as will be presently pointed out in what is claimed, it is apparent that many changes can be made without departin'g from the spirit of the invention. In the accompanying drawings p Figure 1 is a plan view of the complete package.
Figure 2 is a reverse view thereof.
Figure 3 is a section taken on line 3 3 Figure 1.
Figure 4 is a plan view of a modified form of envelope for carrying the hair net.
Figure 5 is a Section taken on line 5-5 thereof.
Figure l6 is a plan View of still another modified form of hair net carrying member.
Figure 7 is a cross section taken on line 7-7 of Figure 6.
Referring to the drawings, and more particularly to Figures 1, 2 and 3 thereof, the
numeral 8 designates a sheet of paper of any desired stiffness, around which is folded a hair nety 9, so that the ends or edges 10 thereof are upon the rear face thereof, the card 8 with the hair net 9 then being disposed upon the sheet 11 of paper so that. the edges 12 thereof are folded in to form a narrow edge envelope so that a portion of the net is visible through the open space thereof. The complete article is then placed within the outside transparent envelope 13 and the envelope sealed. Upon the outer face of the hair net supporting member 11 ornaments of any design may be placed thereon as well as advertising and other identifications, while there may-be also provided upon the edges 12 thereof any desired information.
It will thus be seen that the hair net is folded so that it may be felt and also examined to ascertain whether it is double or single mesh or the exact color.
In the construction shown in Figures 4 and 5, the hair net 14 is placed directly in a carrying member 11 which is similar to the carrying member 11, there being an insert 15 carrying the information orornamental design separate froln the carrying member 11 to t within the transparent envelope 13 upon the opposite face of the member 11 to the hair net 14. Thus the envelope 13 is held extended and the hair net is visible as in the other form.
Another modified form is shown in Figures 6 and 7 wherein the hair net 16 is wrapped about an extending and carrying card 17, the whole being inserted within the transparent envelope 18 so that the hair net is visible at both sides.
From the foregoing description, it is evident that anyone of these packages provides a sanitary carrying means for a hair net insuring the proper distribution of the same to the puchaser who may make the sections by touch or sight and be insured of securing the hair net in a. clean, sanitary condition. l
Although the complete package is here shown as s uare, it is evident that the same may be ob ong or triangular and still be within the spirit 'of the present invention. 9
The package is preferably made of such convenient size for merchandizing that when the hair net is packed therein a considerable portion of the net, and especially the unsightly portion of the net, will be housed or concealed between lthe opaque wall at the front of the package, while the supporting sheet and the net displayed thereon will be viewable through the transparent face of the package, thus providing an attractive il sanitary package.
What I- claim as new is 1. A sanitary package for hair its, `com prising a flat supportlng sheet, a hair net smoothly drawn over one face of said sheet l so as to exhibit the mesh of the net and hunched on the opposite face of said sheet, the relative size of the hair net and sheety being such that bunching of the net on one side of the sheet results as 'a natural consequence in forming-the package, an opaque Wall' oposed to the face of the sheet on whichl the net is hunched whereby the hair net on such face is concealed, and a transparent Wall opposed to the other face of the sheet through which the hair net is exposed to view.
2. A sanitary package for hair nets, comprising a flat supporting sheet, a hair net smoothly drawn over one face of said sheet so as to exhibit the mesh of the net and bunched on the opposite face of said sheet, the relative size of the hair net and sheet bein such that 1punching of the net on one si e of the sheet results as' a natural consequence in forming the package, an opaque Wall opposed to the face of the sheet on which the net is bunched whereby the hair net on such face is concealed, and a transparent envelope completely enclosing the sheet and opaque Wall, through which the face of the sheet on which the hair net is smoothly drawn and the hair net thereon may be viewed.
3. A sanitary package for hair nets, comprising a fiat supportlng sheet, a hair net smoothly drawn over the front side of said sheet so as to exhibit the mesh of the net the major portion of the net being packed and interfolded at the rear side of said sheet, the relative size of the hair net and sheet being such that packing of the major portion of the net on the rear side of the sheet results as a natural consequence in forming the package, an opaque wall at'thc front of the package by Which the net at the rear of the sheet is concealed and a transparent wall opposed to the front of the sheet through which the hair net is exposed to View.
In testimony whereof I aix my signature.
MORRIS CRUPAIN.
