As the constructlon is shown an open casing, container, or shell 6 comprises end walls 7, side wall 8, and a bottom 9. When thus released the receptacle rises until it is stopped by the contact of the tongue 10 with one of the lips 14 whereupon the released section Q1 swings back to horizontal position as shown in Figures 2 and at, and the end of the cigarette 55 or other contents oi the receptacle project. In this position, if by negligence or otherwise, the section 21 be ac cidenta-lly swung forward more than ninety degrees the cigarette would be broken, were it not that as soon as the section reaches vertical position as shown in broken lines it is checked by contact with the

The receptacle may be detached from the casing for reloading by manually pushing the extension 37 inwardly slightly just sufficient to clear the lip l t.

In a box of the character described, a casing provided with an opening, resilient arms fast to the sides of the casing provided with openings, a receptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section, a vibratory section pivotally connected with the'body section and a spring for throwing the vibratory section to a position at an angle to the casing when ejected therefrom, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, depending fingers upon the vibratory section, and heads upon the fingers adapted to register in the openings in the arms.

In a box of the character described, a casing provided with an opening, resilient arms fast to the sides of the casing, areceptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section, and a vibratory section pivotally connected with the body section, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, a tongue supported by the body section, and a lip on one of the arms in the path of the tongue.

3. In a box of the character described, a

casing provided .with an opening, resilient I arms fast to the casing,'a receptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section, side walls on the body section, one of said walls being provided with a slot, and a vibratory section pivotally connected with the body section, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, a resilient arm yieldingly mounted on said wall, a tongue on the last mentioned arm extending through the slot, and a lip on one of the first mentioned arms in the path of the tongue.

4. In a box of the character described, a

In a box of the character described, a casino provided with an opening, resilient arms in the casing, a. receptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section, side walls, a bottom, a yielding clamping plate pivotally mounted at its lower end on the bottom and spaced from the body section, and a vibratory section pivotally mounted on the top of the body section, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, a tongue supporteifl by the body section adjacent the clamping plate, and a lip on one of the arms in the path of the tongue.

(3. In a box of the character described, a casing provided with an opening, a receptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section, and a vibratory section adapted to be ejected therefrom, locking fingers on the vibratory section, a tongue supported by the body section, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, and resilient means on the tongue detachably engaging the locking fingers.

7. In a box of the character described, :1 opening, resilient arms fast to the casing, a receptacle slidably mounted in the casing comprising a body section and a vibratory section adapted to be ejected therefrom, resilient means for forcing the vibratory section through the opening, and means carried by the vibratory section engageable with the arms locking the receptacle.
