Devices have lbeen provided heretofore which consisted oit i pendent shield carried hy the no e of the colf, und Which Wes disposed in front ot the mouth, but hy proper menipulzition of this shield, the celll Wes able to swing the seme upwardly over the nose, thus leaving the mouth clear to reach the tents o' the cow. The present device contemplates en additional element on the shield which. will et all times lie in t'ront of the mouth. end especially when the mein portion oi the shield is swung` upwardly over the celis nose. thus effectively preventingv the culis mouth reaching the tents.

What is claimed is:
