printedwith a unit of measurement are de tachably secured to the leaves of price marking pads for marking a price either as an article or by unit. of measure.
The primary object my invention isto provide an improved price marking dev ce adapted to facilitate the marking of price upon goods displayed for sale.
Another object of my invention is to provide an improved price marking pad adapted to mark either the price of an article or the price of a unit measure of the product.
I accomplish these and other objects by means ofthe device disclosed in the drawings forming a part or the present specifica tio n wherein like characters of reference are used to designate similar parts throughout said specification and drawings, and in which: I

Referring to the ha-wings the niuneral l is used to d. Ig'nate in general; priminiarking pad coi imprinted with a price mark 3 in any desired denomination. The leaves 2 are gunnned or other vise secured at the top to form a pad. A tab 4: is formed at the hot tom of'e'ach leaf 2 by perforations 6 extendinp; transversely across the leaf, each tab at 1 of any desired character.
A tray 8 is provided longitudinal partitions 9 and transverse partitions 11 to form a plurality of compartments each adapted rising a plurality of leaves 2 being imprinted with a unit of measurement to receive a pricemarking pad 1. The size of the tray 8 and number of compartments therein is arranged to accommodate pads of the desired number oi"denominations. The longitudinal partitions 9 areprovided with recessed 12 to facilitate the removal oi the pads 1 or leaves 2 therefrom.

My 'inventionisparticularly designed for use in marking goods the price of which.
varies froniday to day, or upon which a special price has been set to which it is 'desired to attract the attention of the purchaser. This marking is most easily accomplished by use of my improved price marking device wherein. the pads of various denominations are retained in a convenient and orderly fornr'adapted to facilitats the removal oi a price mark from any desired pad. The leaves 2 are used to denote the price of; annit measure of a product such as a pound, quart or yard. When it is desired to mark the price of merchandise as single articles the tab 4 is detached from the leaf 2 through the perforations (3, thereby providin n a price mark without reference to any unit.
Having thus described my invention what lcla-ini as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent. is:
In a price marking device, a pad formed from a plurality of leaves; a price mark iinprinted upon each leaf; a detachable tab formed upon each leaf by perforations extending transversely across said leaf; and a unit of measuren'ient imprinted upon each tab. I
