Be it known that I, GEORGE lVRIcHT GREG- ORY, a subject of the King of Great Britain and Ireland, residing at 128 Putney Bridge. Road, Putney, London, 83V, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in or Relating to Apparatus for Peeling Potatoes and the like, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in apparatus for peeling potatoes and the like. My invention has for its object to provide a simple, cheap and efiicient apparatus which will carry out the functions named. The parts of the apparatus according to my present invention consists of an ordinary wooden handle, a piece of ordinary sheet metal provided with an aperture and so formed as to hold a blade. A safety razor blade may be employed which is split in two, longitudinally with the cutting edge of the blade slightly protruding through the slit in the sheet metal.
In order that my invention may be fully understood. 1 have appended a sheet of draw ings in which :Figure 1 shews a front view of the'peeler. Figure 2 shews a view of the other side thereof, whilst Figure 3 shows an enlarged section on line l2 of Figure 1.

Claim:
A paring knife of tie class described comprising a. body having one of its sides bent inward to form a clamping flange and its opposite side inturned to provide a curled portion, said body being curved in concave relation to the clamping flange to effectively permit the peeling of vegetables of irregular formation, a longitudinal slot in said body, and a blade adapted to be removably secured to the body by said clamping flange having one of its edges projecting through said slot for the purpose specified.
