Referring more particularly to the drawing the improved ticket holder comprises a main body 1 which is constructed of any suitable material and is substantially rectangular in shape, providing a base 2 and upstanding sides 3 and end 4. The base 2 is provided with an arcuate'recess 7 in its end remote from the recessed end 4 of the body and a pressure member 8 is pivotal'ly connected to the body 1 as shown at 9 outwardly of the depressed portion 7. The sleeve 26 has longitudinally spaced needle carrying bosses 28 formed thereon whichcarry needles 29 and it has a stop plug 30 formed thereon intermediate its ends and extending into the opposite direction from the needles 29 for limiting the rocking movement of the sleeve in the direction to raisethe needles. An operating thumb rest 31 is also formed upon the sleeve 26.

In dispensing tickets by means of the im proved ticket holder and dispenser the weight'of the needles 29 and their carrying bosses 28 will cause the needles to engage the topmost ticket in the pack 6 and when it is desired to dispense a ticket the sleeve 26 consequently to release the pressureon the r is rocked by movement of the operating thumb rest 31 towards the pressure member 8 which will raise the needles 29 and as these needles have sharp points they will engage in the topmost ticket and lift it upwardly and permit the operator to engage the raised ticket by placing his thumb and finger in the

5 and 6 he can easily tear the ticket from the pack 6. After the ticket has been removed the sleeve 26 is released and it will fall, by gravity, to its normal position with the needles 29 again engaging the topmost ticket in the pack.

It is to be understood that the tickets may be carried by the stub end in the usual or approved manner which stub end is engaged by the pressure rod 11 to securely hold the pack in the dispenser. When it is desired to replace a pack of tickets the pin 13 is removed out of the depression in the ear 12 which relieves the pressure member 8 of the spring pressure and the member 8 may be then rocked or moved outwardly on its pivot 9 to permit replacing of a pack of tickets. A finger knob. 36 may be carried by the pressure member 8 if desired to facilitate its movement. After the pack of tickets has been properly placed in the body 1 the mem ber 8 is again moved to its normal position and the pin 13 snapped back into the depression in the ear 12 which will cause the spring 14 to act upon the pressure member 8 and rod 11.

It is of course, to be understood that the invention may be constructed in various other manners and the parts associated in different relations and therefore, I do not desire to be limited in any manner except as set forth in the claims hereunto appended.

Having thus described my invention what I claim is:

1. In a ticket holder and dispenser, a body provided with a ticket supporting base, a pressure member pivotally carried by said body,'a ticket pack engaging pressure rod carried by said member, and tensioning means engaging said member for urging said rod in engagement with a pack of tickets.

2. In a ticket holder and dispenser, a body provided with a ticket supporting base, a. pressure member pivotally carried by said body, a ticket pack engaging pressure rod carried by said member, tensioning means engaging said member for urging said rod in engagement with a pack of tickets, a rockable sleeve, a needle carried by said sleeve and adapted to engage a ticket and lift the ticket upon movement of the sleeve in one direction.

3. In a ticket holder and dispenser, a body provided with a ticket supporting base having a depression in one end, a pressure member pivotally carried by said body adjacent said depression, a ticket pack engaging pressure rod carried by said member, tensioning means removably engaging said member for urging said rod in engagement with a pack of tickets, a rockable sleeve, a needle carried by said sleeve and adapted to engage a ticket and lift it upon movement of the rod in one direction.

4. In a ticket holder and dispenser, a body provided with a ticket supporting base having a depression in one end, a pressure member pivotally carried by said body adjacent said depression, a ticket pack engaging pressure rod carried by said member, and tensioning means removably engaging said member for urging said rod in engagement with a pack of tickets.

5. In aticket holder and dispenser, a body provided with a ticket supporting base having a depression in one end, a pressure member pivotally carried by, said body adjacent said depression, a ticket pack engaging pressure rod carried bysaid member, an ear formed upon said member, a pin engaging said ear and a tensioned spring connected to said pin for forcing said first named rod in engagement with a pack of tickets.
