Figure l of the drawingsis a representation of a longitudinal section of my wash-boiler. Fig. 2 is a cross-section of the same. Fig. 3 is a bottom, and Fig. 4 a top, view of the same.
My invention relates to wash-boilers; and
consists in the novel construction of the removable attachment hereinafter described, which is intended to serve as a valuable anxiliary in the process of cleansing soiled garments.
A of the drawings represents the bottom of my boiler attachment surrounded by a guard or shield, B. The vertical flanges of the shield rest upon the bottom of the boiler, while its horizontal flanges are turned over the top of the bottom A, leaving a water-space between the bottom and the shield. The shield is attached to the bottom A by means of connecting-arms, marked 0. The letter D represents an upright central conducting-tube attached to the bottom A,and arranged over an opening therein. This tubeis divided into compartments by means of the partition-walls d f it. These compartments are four in number, and serve to conduct the boiling, water in regular and uniform currents over both the sides and ends of tube D. [he letter G represents a hood or cap attached to the partition-walls, as shown. Its sides and ends are curved, as represented, and serve to conduct the water downward after it has passed upward through the compartments in tube D.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The wash -boiler attachment herein described, consisting of the bottom A, shield B, and cap G, and tube D, the bottom being provided with partition-walls d f h, substantially as specified.
