Other objects and advantages of the invention 'reside iny certain novel features kof construction, combination and arrangement v of parts which will be hereinafter more fully described and particularly pointed out in the appended claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings forming part of this specification, and in which:

Referring to the drawings wherein for the sake of illustration is shown the preferred embodiment of the invention, it will be seen that the socket comprises a sleeve 10 adapted to embrace the fore-arm. This sleeve is constructed of leather or other suitable material having a lining l()u of kid or other soft material to engage the arm of the wearer, and conforms with the shape of the arm. It is split longitudinally, as shown at 11, and the lower end of the sleeve adjacent the wrist portion of the fore-arm is Specification of Letters Patent. Patented Application-filed December 4, 1920. The armlet'is also constructed of leather having a lining of kid or the like, as designated at 25. fiexible band 26 of leather or the like is associated with the armlet and encrcles the same and unlike the armlet is adapted to completely encircle the upper arm. vOne end of the band is provided with a buckle 27 and the other end is provided with a series of openings 28 adapted to receive the prong of the buckle. At diametrically opposite points on the armlet there is provided a pair of socket irons for the upper-arm designated at 29. The lower ends of these socket irons 29 for the upper arm are forked, as shown at 30, and in the fork of each iron 29 is received a short link 31 which is pivoted to the forked end of the iron by means of a pivot pin 32 which also pivotally secures to the irons a guide pulley 33 for the operating means, not shown.
Flexible straps 34 serve to connect the irons of the upper arm to the irons of the fore-arm, the straps being connected for this purpose by means of rivets or the like 35 to the short links of the upper irons and being adjustably connected at their lower ends by means of buckles 36 and secured to the lower irons and engaging the flexible straps 34 at the desired point.
In practice, the forearm is inserted in the sleeve V and the l'lacing 14 is properly drawn and tied. The armlet is placed in positionfonfthe upper narm :and secured fin proper position by the flexible'bandfQ. The flexible straps 34: are then inserted in the buckles 36 and the socket is then properly secured on the arm.
