Figure 1 a face view of a phonograph cabinet provided with a record holder constructed in accordance with my invention.
Fig. 2 a broken sectional view on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1 on an enlarged scale.
Fig. 3 an enlarged sectional view on the line 33 of Fig. 1.
Fig. 4 a detached plan view ot the record holder on the scale shown in Fig. 1.
This invention relates to improvement in phonograph record cabinets and is adapted for use in connection with a phonograph cabinet or a cabinet especially constructed for the purpose, the object of the invention being to provide a cabinet with a rotary holder having radial pockets, each adapted to receive and support a phonograph record, whereby they are separated from each other and hence not liable to become injured and, at the same time, convenient Jfor removal or insertion, and the invention consists in the construction as hereinafter described and particularly recited in the claim.
In carrying out my invention l employ a vertically-arranged post 5 adapted to be supported between the top brace 6 and bottom brace 7 of a phonograph cabinet 8 o;t` any approved design. As herein shown, a top plate 9 and a bottom plate 10 are secured to Speocaton of Letters Patent.

the post 5, which projects through them and on the top of the post is a cap 11, and on the bottom a similar cap 12, the caps having flanges 13 to receive studs 14 secured to the braces 6 and 7 Between the studs and the flanges 13 are a series of balls 15 forming antifriction bearings for the post, which. is free to rotate upon the studs. The diameter of the top plate 9 is smaller than the diameter of the bottom plate 10, and these plates are connected by a. series ot stay-rods 16. Secured tothe post 5 and looped around the several rods is a strip 17 of any suitable flexible material, so as to form, between the rods, a series of radially-opening pockets, each of which is adapted to receive a phonograph record. These pockets may be numbered and the records indexed, so as to be readily found, when wanted, and the device is easily rotated in the cabinet, so that, if it be provided, as shown, with doors 18, the records are inserted when the doors are open and protected against dust when the doors are closed.
I claim:
A phonograph record cabinet, comprising a` vertically mounted rotatable post, a top plate and a` bottom plate of larger diameter than the top plate rotatably mounted on said post, a series of stay-rods connecting the edges oi the said plates, and a strip of -flexible material successively folded around the stay-rods, forming a series of vertically-arranged radially-opening pockets around said post.
In testimony whereof, I have signed this speciication in the presence of two subscribing witnesses. Y
