In the drawings:
Figure 1 is an enlarged fragmentary section showing the invention in use.
Fig. 2 is a detail view of one of the metallic washers forming a part of the device.
Fig. 3 is a detail view of a thumb screw used in connection with the washer.
Reterring in detail to the drawngs, wherein like characters of reference denote corresponding parts, the invention is illustrated as sccuring a fabric covering to a screen door, a portion of which is indicated at 10, the said portion including sides 11 of the frame, to which is secured the ordinary Specifioation of Letters Patent.
Patented Nov. 8, 1921.
1919. Serial No. ::13,441.
woven wire screen 12, while the fabric which covers the screen is indicated at 13.
The invention comprises metal washers 16, which are provided with radially disposed sharpened prongs 17, adapted to be bent substantially at right angles to the washcr and inserted in the fabric and bent over to hold the washers in position. Screws 18 are adapted to be inserted through the openings in the washers and through the fabric 13, the said screws being provided with fianges 19 and finger pieces 20, by means of which they may be readily driven within the door iframe, with the flanges 19 restng against the face of the washer. This provides means whereby a covering may be secured upon a screen or other frame in a manner to permit it to be readily detached when desired.
The invention is susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction and the right is herein reserved to make such changes as properly fall within the scope of the appended claim.
Having' described the invention, what is claimed is:
A device for securing a fabric to a support comprising a mctallic eyelet, prongs extending froni the eyelet for insertion through the fabric to hold the eyelct in position, a 'astening device passing through the eyelet for engagement with the support and fiange carried by the fastening device for contact with the eyelet.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature.
