ISAIAH DAUGHERTY, OF ROCKY STATION, VIRGINIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN FLY-PROTECTORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 139,552, dated J une 3, 1873; application filed March 1, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ISAIAH DAUGHERTY, of Rocky Station, in the county of Lee and State of Virginia, have invented a new and Improved Fly-Protector, of which the following is a specification Figure l is a vertical section of my invention on the line as m, Fig. 2; and Fig. 2 is a lounge or bed, book-case, table, chair, and
other pieces of furniture placed therein, the whole movable on casters, and forming a safe retreat against flies and mosquitoes.
In the drawing, A represents the frame of the fly-protector, made of wood or other suitable material, of rectangular shape and desirable proportions. Frame A rests and is movable at will upon casters. a, supplied to the supports or legs thereof. It is entered by a door, B, hinged to and closing on upright light. The whole may be tastily ornamented,
so that it offers a neat, pleasing appearance to the eve. In the interior a bed or lounge, 0, table D, chair E, book-case F, and other shelving, together with other articles of comfort. may be arranged so that the occupant taking care that no flies or mosquitoes get in when entering the door-may indulge in sweet and undisturbed repose, a thing so greatly needed during the time of oppressive heat in summer. Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The fly-protector, formed by the combina tion, with a frame, A b d e f, supported on casters a, of the door B and wire-gauze sides, all asshown and described.
