IMPROVEMENT IN BOUQUET-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 139,477, dated June 3, 1873; application filed May 7, 1873.
' ments in Bouquet-Holders, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to provide for a neat and cheap bouquet-holder, which can be readily attached to the garment, and is so constructed that it will adjust itself to the stems of the leaves and flowers of the bouquet and hold the same firmly.
My invention consists in pressing or forminga piece of sheet metal into a holder for a bouquet in such a manner that two semicylinders clasp over the stems. A metallic band or ring is fastened to and near at the top, in front, to the outside semi-cylinder. To the back of this ring orband is pivoted a pin having an eccentric on its head pressing against the inside semi-cylinder in such a manner that the cylinder will be pressed against the outside semi-cylinder when the pin is fastened in the eye placed at the lower part of the inside semi-cylinder. An opening is cut in the center of the inside semi-cylinthe same. D is the ring or band fastened to l the front of A. E is the eccentric head of the pin F. G is the eye fastened to B.
Having thus described my invention I desire to claimr A bouquet-holder formed of the two semicylinders A and B, ring or band D, in combination with the pin F, with eccentric head E, eye G, and opening 0, substantially as and for the purpose hereinbefore set forth.
