IMPROVEMENT IN CHAIRS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 138,939, dated May 13, 1873; application filed April 17, 1873.
To all whom it may concern: p
Be it known that I, JOHN K. ROWLEY, of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and use# ful Improvements in Invalid-Chairs; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification, and which represents a perspective view of the chair.
Nature.
My invention consists of a chair, Inade of willow or other light, elastic materials, with arms, back, open bottom, and front legs, but no back legs, so that it may be placed upon a carriage-seat to support an invalid or feeble person while riding.
