.Be it known that l, BENJAMIN CARDENAS Reyes, a citizen of the United. States, resid ing at Sen Antonio, in the county ot Bexar and State of Ter-zas, have invented. certain new and useful improvements in Trousers, or which the following is e specification.

The object oi" this invention is to provide simple and eliicient means lor alteringa ready-made trou-sers to fit persons oi different sizes.

According to my invention, l provide ready-made trousers with openings at the sides inmiediately in rear of the side pockets which extend through the Waist-bend and for a short distance below the bottoni of the side pockets, and l provide material on opposite sides or" Vthese seams sufficient in extent to give any desired Width to the body portion. of the trousers before the goods is folded to bring together the edges of the Seems and before the stitching operation is performed.
